King James Onlyism
The King James Only movement (also known as King James Onlyism or KJV Onlyism) asserts that the King James Version of the Bible (KJV) is superior to all other English translations of the Bible. Adherents of the movement believe that this particular translation has been divinely preserved by God as a perfect translation of the Bible into English and that modern English Bible translations are corrupt.
While Calvary Baptist Church teaches and preaches from the King James Version of the Bible, we do not prescribe to the King James Only Movement and hold that there are other faithful translations that are “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
